Uploading Your Illustrations
There are two easy ways to get your images to Tikatok™:Scan and Upload
- Use a home scanner to capture digital images of your illustrations.
- Use a resolution setting that will give you a file size of around 2-3 MB.
- For a letter-sized image, this should be around 150 or 200 dpi.
- Set the color setting to the highest number of colors.
- If possible, crop the page to capture just the image itself.
- Save your file to the "jpeg" or "jpg" format.
- On Tikatok, upload your images to your image drawings library in the Studio.
Digital Photography (may not provide best results)
- For best results with a digital camera, pin each drawing at eye-level to a wall that has sufficient, even light (the best light is indirect sunlight).
- Stabilize your camera with a tripod if possible, or make sure the shutter speed registers at 1/100th of a second or faster.
- Use the highest quality image settings that your camera will allow. When transferring files to your computer, save them in "jpeg" or "jpg" format. Each image file should be around 2-3 MB in size. Make adjustments with your image transfer software as necessary.
- On Tikatok, upload your images to your image drawings library in the Studio.
